Rules & scoring

• A dancer may enter more than one category — the pre-selection fee and entry fee apply separately to each one you enter.
• Solo Debut and Beginners are not open to instructors or professional teachers. Solo Debut is also not open to anyone who has previously competed in another dance championship.
• All judging panel decisions are final.

Solo and group performances are judged on Choreography, Technique, Musicality and Character & performance — Small Groups and Crews are scored on Concept & Image instead of Character & Performance, and Freestyle Solo has its own criteria built around adapting live to a randomly drawn song. Every category can also earn bonus points on a vibe check. Battles are judged head-to-head, no scores.

There's no fixed choreography. Everyone entered submits a song of their choice (any style, under 2:00) by the music submission deadline — the same one every other category uses, see below. On stage, you draw a song at random from that shared pool — maybe yours, maybe someone else's — and freestyle to whatever you get.

Solo Debut, Beginners, Frame Up Pro, Heels Pro and Small Groups submit a video before anything else is judged. Every applicant gets feedback from the judges either way.

• Only the registered dancer(s) appear in the video
• No heavy editing
• Filmed from the front, with your full body visible throughout
• No longer than 1 minute 30

Submit your track by 1 November 2026. Late submissions or changes after that cost 3 points off your final score.

• File name: Full name – Category

This does not apply to Battles — those are danced to whatever the DJ plays, so there is no track to send.

• No substances that could damage the stage floor or equipment — loose powder, oil, glitter, water, paint and similar.
• Any prop needs approval in advance with the organizing team via Instagram DM (@flex.champ). Include the act's name, category, and a photo or video of the prop with its dimensions.
• Damage to the venue's flooring, screen, sound or lighting equipment may be billed to the participant responsible.

Any conduct that endangers dancers, judges or spectators — on the dance floor or in shared spaces — can mean disqualification. See the Terms for what that means for your fees.
